About Miranda:
Miranda believes in every person’s ability to heal – helping client’s recognize their own resilience continues to inspire her work as a therapist. Miranda specializes in the treatment of trauma, complex trauma, and early childhood attachment injuries. She has significant experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing PTSD, C-PTSD, and those struggling with attachment trauma.
Miranda obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University. It was through Miranda’s work as a crisis responder at Victim/Witness Services in Flagstaff, Arizona where she became passionate about supporting those healing from trauma. Miranda’s trauma work continued after moving to Denver, Colorado in 2016. She provided in-home intensive treatment and case management for high-risk children and families before joining a private practice specializing in eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Miranda is also passionate about her role as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, supporting newly trained EMDR clinicians work toward their EMDR certification. Miranda enjoys the consultation process and working with clinicians as they continue to grow as an EMDR therapist.
When not working, Miranda spends her time reading, watching sports, spending time with her niece and nephews, or white water rafting in her home state of Idaho.
